The Ulkan Mines (ウルカン鉱山 Urukan kōzan) is a Land from Legend of Mana. Heading deep into the bowels of the earth, it has been abandoned for quite some time now and holds along a variety of different creatures, including avid miners and strange cultists. It is home to Watts and Putty's cult.

Pokiehl: Dream Teller[]
Entering the mines, the player will find Pokiehl. Later on, the wisdow will transport the player to a dream realm that reenacts ocurrings of the past, specially about Matilda. A very young Escad is seen looking for her, who has just escaped the Temple with Irwin. Matilda delightfully appreciates the freedom of Irwin, and is tired of being stricted into not being herself, other than a priestess. Irwin argues that this world should suffer because of that, and absorbs Matilda Wisp powers. Escad arrives just in time, but it is not show much of what happens after. Back to the real world, the once sleeping Hero/Heroine is found by Escad, who asks them whose side they are on, Daena's or his. If you answered that you don't know, Escad will take it as being by Daena's side, battling him. Otherwise, the event will quickly finish.

Bud and Lisa's Arc[]
The Seven Wisdoms[]
One of the Seven Wisdoms, Pokiehl can be found here. He tells Bud the Goddess is always doing the best for mankind, and that one must discover what she has done to them.
It is imperative to bring Bud to meet him as soon as he is available, since he is the only missable wisdom. It is recommended to bring him in the team before heading into the mines.

Watts Drops the Hammer[]
Watts loses his hammer, and asks the Hero/Heroine to retrieve it. It may be found in The Digger's Hideout.
After returning it to Watts, he will immediately scold the Hero/Heroine, thinking they were the one who stole it. He then remembers he himself asked them to retrieve it and apologizes.
