Ish, also localized as Ishe, is a recurring location in the Mana series.
Much like Jadd, Ish typically exists as a desert city or village, often in a region of extreme heat. As such, all but the most seasoned adventurers may suffer heat exhaustion before the locals are able to get them to safety.

Sumo is carried to Ish by his young chocobo after falling into the Crystal Desert from his second confrontation with Julius at Glaive Castle. An arduous journey wears on the bird's legs before she collapses, whereupon both are recovered and their injuries treated. Sumo meets with Bogard, who survived the Airship incident, albeit with broken bones. Meanwhile, the Professor gives the chocobo a pair of mechanical legs, allowing her to jet over water.
