Joster is a NPC that appears in both Heroes of Mana and Trials of Mana. He is a warrior of the Wind Kingdom of Laurent who became its king consort.

In Heroes of Mana

Joster is a high ranking warrior of Laurent and friends with Alma and Qucas. Princess Minerva has fallen in love with him. Joster is present during several battles to support Roget and his crew, but always as an AI support unit that cannot be controlled by the player.

In Trials of Mana

Joster is now king, and the father of Riesz. His wife, Minerva, died during the birth of Riesz's younger brother, Elliot. Despite having gone blind in old age, he can sense everything around in a vast perimeter. Afterwards, he was killed by ninjas from Nevarl, who invaded Laurent on Belladonna's orders.
