Lich is the boss of the Sealed Cave in Final Fantasy Adventure and Adventures of Mana. After being defeated, he will reward you with the mightiest spell Nuke. His aspect from the last remake draws heavily from the Dark Lich.

The Lich throws and energy discs and three red skulls. It is better to attack at distance.
