About one month later, on 13 August, Siliconera reported[3] that Square Enix had done the same thing in Japan, and that they had also re-registered the trademark for Seiken Densetsu, the Japanese name for the Mana franchise.

On 26 February 2014, the game was officially revealed with a debut trailer showcasing gameplay, characters, and the theme song, Believe in the Spirit, performed by KOKIA.
