Correctly sourcing information[]
- I've heard that Stroud and the Dark Prince from Seiken Densetsu 3 are one and the same, but I cannot find confirmation. Does anyone know something about it? Balthus Dire (talk) 11:55, April 8, 2014 (UTC)
- The fact that he "killed" Anise who was the Archdemon at the time and became Archdemon of the Thanatos only to later be killed while attempting to open the Mana Gate(which until Children of Mana only opened to Mavolia which was called the underworld in early translations) in Dawn of Mana is itself confirmation.207.216.31.123 00:25, April 10, 2014 (UTC)
I'm going to use this above discussion as an example of how not to source information. This is called confirmation bias, and is simply viewing some information that appears to correlate with a certain view, fanon in this case, as 'confirmation' even though it does nothing of the sort. This is why any claims made in articles must be direct. As well there is other, factual, information, namely that Mana games are all set in different universes, that contradict any attempts to make claims like this.
Why did I dredge up a 6 year old discussion? Because the fact it's been sitting here unchallenged is still a problem. Meganerd18 (talk) 09:00, May 12, 2020 (UTC)
