Emperor Vandole in Secret of Mana

The power behind the Thanatos and Mavole (also known as Grimslies) of Mavolia. The first two (but not the third, Drakonis) Archdemons Anise and Stroud sought to release it.

Both cut content from Secret of Mana and the uncut last words of Vandole in the final battle of Sword of Mana reveal that Vandole is the Echoes themselves.

As long as Mana exists they can reform. They do so after their Vandole form is killed the first time.
